Anzaghi (and most all tutors, I've been told) confine themselves to three rows for all scales and build the student's core competancy on three row technique in general. They make a lot more sense than the "rubbish gif" to which you're referring. I'm translating it page by page for myself which slows things but I like how she progresses.įinally, I did start a wee blog about my own rank beginner struggles self-teaching the CBA: I posted Anzaghi's fingerings for all major, minor, and chromatic scales a few weeks back. The Glorion method looks much more up my alley but it is in French. I also just purchased the Florence Glorion method for CBA - it is folk music focused, unlike Anzaghi who is more classical-focused. The Anzaghi method the obvious exception - I'm working through it now but it does feel very dated. There's actually quite a quantity of french tutors (although many of them are vintage) to technically there's no shortage, just very limited options for non-francophones. Craptiger - I agree on the frustrating lack of CBA methods out there.
